Bioactive Chromodorolide Diterpenes from an Aplysillid Sponge
نویسندگان
چکیده
The known chromodorolides A (1) and B (2), and a new derivative chromodorolide C (3) have been isolated from an Australian sponge and characterized by 1D and 2D NMR experiments. The chromodorolides exhibited significant cytotoxicity against the P388 mouse leukaemia cell line, and also showed activity against the freeliving larval stages of the parasitic nematodes Haemonchus contortus and Trichostrongylus colubriformis.

Bioactive substances isolated from marine sponge, a miniature conglomerate of various organisms
Due to their unusual living environment as compared with terrestrial organisms, marine organisms, such as sponge, octocoral, tunicate and bryozoan, metabolite and produce a variety of substances which often have various unprecedented chemical structures and exhibit significant biological activities. These bioactive constituents may offer interesting subjects of studies in view of bioorganic che...
متن کاملCacofurans A and B, new furanoditerpenes from a marine sponge.
Two new labdane-class diterpenes, cacofurans A (1) and B (2), have been isolated from a sponge Cacospongia sp. Their structures were determined by analyzing spectroscopic data, by chemical transformations, and by X-ray diffraction. Cacofurans 1 and 2 inhibited the development of fertilized sea urchin eggs at concentrations of 0.5 and 5 microg/mL and showed an actin-disrupting effect on the NBT-...
متن کاملN-Formyl-7-amino-11-cycloamphilectene, a marine sponge metabolite, binds to tubulin and modulates microtubule depolymerization.
The importance of protein-small molecule interaction in drug discovery, medicinal chemistry and biology has driven the development of new analytical methods to disclose the whole interactome of bioactive compounds. To accelerate targets discovery of N-formyl-7-amino-11-cycloamphilectene (CALe), a marine bioactive diterpene isolated from the Vanuatu sponge Axinella sp., a chemoproteomic-based ap...
متن کاملTrichodermanins C–E, New Diterpenes with a Fused 6-5-6-6 Ring System Produced by a Marine Sponge-Derived Fungus
Trichodermanins C-E (1-3), new diterpenes with a rare fused 6-5-6-6 ring system, have been isolated from a fungus Trichoderma harzianum OUPS-111D-4 separated from a piece of a marine sponge Halichondria okadai, and these chemical structures have been established by spectroscopic analyses using IR, MASS, HRFABMS, and NMR spectra. We established their absolute stereostructures by application of t...
متن کاملFormamido-Diterpenes from the South China Sea Sponge Acanthella cavernosa
Seven new formamido-diterpenes, cavernenes A-D (1-4), kalihinenes E and F (5-6), and kalihipyran C (7), together with five known compounds (8-12), were isolated from the South China Sea sponge Acanthella cavernosa. Structures were established using IR, HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR, and single X-ray diffraction techniques. The isolated compounds were assessed for their cytotoxicity against a small pan...
